Program Description
Learn the basic theory and practices of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning in the New England Tech hands-on laboratory setting. The heating-ventilation-air conditioning technology associate degree program at this technical college offers a curriculum combining two distinct but interconnected areas: refrigeration and air conditioning and heating, both in residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
In the Associate in Science degree in Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning (HVAC) program, you will have the opportunity to share classes and collaborate with your peers in architecture, construction management, welding engineering and other allied professional trades programs.

Program Description
Throughout MTTI’s HVAC/R Technician program you will study and gain hands-on experience that will prepare you for entry-level positions in the industry workforce. At MTTI, we focus on short-term, intensive programs. In just 30 weeks you will gain the confidence and skill necessary to install, troubleshoot, repair, and service residential and commercial heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems! Students who attend the program five days a week complete in seven months; those attending three nights a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) complete in 75 weeks. HVAC/R Technician students prepare for the EPA Universal Certification exam. Additionally, students and graduates of the HVAC/R Technician program are eligible to take licensing examinations to earn the RI Oil Burner Technician License and the RI Gas Technician License.
