Lincoln College of Technology

Program Description

Lincoln Tech’s HVAC training program in Grand Prairie, Texas is designed to meet the need for skilled HVAC technicians. We offer career-focused training from experienced instructors who have worked in this industry and want to pass along what they know. Our HVAC program includes classroom learning and hands-on training with a focus on skills such as installing, maintaining and repairing essential temperature control equipment which are needed before you enter the workforce.

Students in our Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating Systems Technology program (HVAC Technology) learn to build key skills for working with commercial refrigeration control systems, repairing and replacing compressors, handling refrigerant piping, and plotting air conditioners with psychrometric charts. The theory and practical applications of electricity are taught, as are strict safety procedures for working with high voltage systems. Lincoln Tech also trains the student to carefully recover and recycle coolant, a must-know skill for handling compressed gases and preventing gas from escaping into the environment. When you finish this program, you’ll be ready to sit for EPA certification testing. We also encourage our grads to test for certification through the Green Mechanical Council.
