This HVAC training online course will prepare you for an entry-level career in the HVAC/R industry by providing hands-on guidance for service, repair, and solutions.
You will learn from in-depth materials, including service call simulations that bring concepts to life. You will be ready to pass all 17 HVAC Excellence Employment Ready Certificates, the EPA 608, and the NATE Ready to Work Certificate by course completion.
You will also receive a voucher package for the HVAC Excellence Employment Ready Certificate exam and EPA 608 Certification exam. However, please research your state's requirements prior to enrollment to ensure this course is the right fit for you.

Program Description
The HVAC Apprenticeship Program at NWC CTD is a four year program that will take you from the basics to being prepared to take the Journeyman's test. You will learn from industry experts in the classroom in conjunction with employment in the HVAC field for on-the-job training while earning a living. The schooling teaches the how's and why's of refrigeration as applied to air conditioning theory, electrical theory, motors and basic electrical controls, code requirements, installation methods, and much more!
HVAC Technicians are trained to work with heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems in both residential and commercial settings..
What is an apprenticeship: The participant is an employee of one our industry partners as they go through the necessary training to obtain the skills and competencies to reach the Journeyman status. Participants are employees of our industry partners and earn a salary. The salary will be increased based on the skills and competency level achievements.
Requirements: Typically a four year program with 576 related instruction hours (online & classroom), and requires 6,000 to 8,000 on-the-job hours to meet competency requirements. Participants must complete 144 training hours per year (this can include safety meetings)
TRAINING WILL TAKE PLACE IN 3 VENUES:
On-the-job: HVAC competencies (skills) will be mentored and evaluated by the employer
Online: Classes will be provided online for this program
Classroom: Several classes will be offered in the classroom

Program Description
The energy efficient Heating, Ventilation, and the Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Credit Diploma is designed for students who want to gain valuable industry skills and prepare for a career in the construction trades as an HVAC technician. Upon completion of the HVAC/R Credit Diploma, students may choose to enter the workforce or continue into the AAS program. Students must complete the Industrial Systems Technology (IST) Credit Diploma prior to entering the HVAC/R Credit Diploma.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
Use safety rules and regulations that characterize responsible behavior in an HVAC/R workplace.]
Evaluate the electrical characteristics of HVAC/R equipment.
Demonstrate the various uses of motors and motor control circuits in HVAC/R equipment.
